Lou Wilner Aflalo
Lou is the Founder and CEO of Knowledge Connection. An attorney by training, she also taught law at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, where she combines legal expertise with academic insight.
Her vision for Knowledge Connection is rooted in a strong belief that education has the power to transform potential into excellence. With a highly personalised and discerning approach, she carefully curates meaningful tutor-student matches based not only on academic strength, but also on personality, learning style, and long-term goals.
For Lou, education is more than academic achievement — it is an experience that builds confidence, ambition, and lasting success. She believes that with the right guidance and dedication, every student can thrive.
She lives in Abu Dhabi since 2021, with her husband and two boys.
Knowledge Connection was established with the support and early collaboration of Stéphanie Abisror, founder of Tutoring London International, who brought over 20 years of experience in private education and contributed valuable expertise during the foundation of the company.
Juan Manuel Rodriguez
Juan Manuel is our Operations and Partnerships Manager. He is an NYU Abu Dhabi graduate. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in 2024 with a double major in Interactive Media, and in Business, Organizations and Society. He is a creative storyteller and maker with a passion for teaching and learning.
Juan has worked in education throughout his academic career. He has mentored younger students through the Youth Leadership Network, the Abu Dhabi STEM Challenge, his high school's robotics team, and his local library back home. He has also spent time researching innovative pedagogies.
His experience has made him certain that making students feel seen and understood is a powerful step in setting them up for success.
He shares Lou's vision and works hard as Operations and Partnerships Manager with Knowledge Connection to provide all of Knowledge Connection's students with personalized guidance and support. When not working with Knowledge Connection, he is building the Goo Collection, a line of educational stuffed animals.
